UC Virtual Cyber Security Summit FAQs
The UC Cyber Security Summit on April 15th will be held online due to the COVID-19 outbreak. We have created this FAQ to offer attendees more information about the event and its transition to a virtual format.
We will update this page as more information becomes available, so please check back as we get closer to April 15th.
Why is the Summit going to be virtual?
- The health and safety of our event attendees and staff are of utmost importance to us. We are following all guidelines restricting travel and large gatherings at this time.
Who can register for the virtual summit?
- Our Cyber Security Summits are designed to bring members of the cybersecurity community together to share ideas and learn from each other. Priority will be given to registrants who are members of the UC community or members of other communities, including higher education and government professionals, with whom we work closely.
- While this virtual format allows for more participants than usual, it is still required that registrants have attention to cybersecurity as part of their professional duties.
Do I need to change my registration?
- No. If you have already registered for the April Cyber Security Summit, your participation in the virtual summit is confirmed.
- If you have not registered, registration will remain open until April 1, 2020.
What is the format of the online event?
- We will have the same speakers and high quality content available for participants.
- The event will be limited to registrants. Registrants will be sent directions about how to connect prior to the event.
- Our event planning team is working on a variety of virtual tools that will make the summit an engaging and rewarding experience. We will send more information about our virtual format as we approach the date of the event.
How can I change travel plans I have already made?
- Please refer to CONNEXXUS or your travel provider for changes.
